China sent its first satellite into space on a naval space rocket launcher in June 2019, according to a Space News report.
It was a meteorological asteroid that was launched into space on a Long March 11 rocket mounted on a floating launcher in the waters of the Yellow Sea. A second flight by a space launcher was also carried out in the closing days of last year, however, it is not known what was sent into space and which rocket was used.
It should be noted that it is considered better and safer to send a rocket into space from the sea because if the rocket explodes in the air, its fragments will likely fall into the sea and thus the human population will not be harmed.
Last year, Elon Musk, the founder and head of the “SpaceX” company, has also announced that his company will soon develop space launchers floating in the ocean.
