In addition, the results of further analysis also found that The new orchid is closely related to the previously known species of orchids Gastrochilus ciliaris and Gastrochilus formosanus. The gastrophic genus is one of the orchid family. Of which the genus is endemic to China, 17 of the 58 species are endemic.
The findings were recently published in the journal Ecosystem Health and Sustainability.
