This donation follows the economic and technical cooperation agreement signed on June 12, 2014, between Congo and China. The Republic of Congo received on March 11 the sum of 296.7 million FCFA (500,000 US dollars) from China. This money is part of theemergency humanitarian aid to flood victims in the northern part of Congo. The donation was made between the Chinese Ambassador to Congo, Mâ Fulin, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad, André Poh, in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Action, Irène Marie Cécile Mboukou-Kimbatsa. The Chinese diplomat explained on this occasion that his country is following with concern the evolution of the disasters caused by the appearance of the floods and is very saddened by the damage caused.
