The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Lin Jian, denied this Thursday the statements of the Secretary of State of the United States (USA), Antony Blinken, regarding the Asian country’s alleged military support for Russia.
In the usual news conference, Lin was asked regarding Blinken’s comment, who would have expressed that they have recently seen the increase in Russian weapons and equipment, stating that “it is a product of China’s contribution to the defense of Russia.”
“We strongly oppose the continued dissemination by the United States of false information regarding the support of China to the Russian defense industry without any evidence, and we express our strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to the relevant erroneous comments of the United States,” the spokesperson emphasized.
Accusations without evidence
The official recalled that, since the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, the United States has spread rumors regarding alleged military support for Russia, but to date has not provided substantial evidence to confirm such accusation.
“Even the head of the US military admitted that China did not provide military assistance to Russia during the conflict,” Lin stressed.
In addition, he detailed that more than 60% of the weapons components and dual-use items imported by Russia, as well as 95% of the key pieces of Russian equipment destroyed by Ukraine, are from the West, he noted. Prensa Latina.

“While the United States introduced a large-scale aid bill to Ukraine, it also baselessly accused China and Russia of maintaining normal economic and trade exchanges. “This is an openly hypocritical double standard,” Lin said.
In this regard, he questioned “who is the instigator of the Ukraine crisis? Who is behind the conflict and war in the region? Who is to blame for prolonging the crisis? Who is the biggest source of chaos to global peace and stability? The international community sees it clearly.”
Lin reiterated that China is neither the creator of the Ukraine crisis nor a party to it, but stressed that they are actively promoting peace talks and a political solution.
