China conducts live fire in Yellow Sea for 5 days

After carrying out military missions north of the Yellow Sea for 7 days, the Chinese military continued to conduct live fire in this area for 5 days starting from February 13.

Information on the website of the China Maritime Administration shows that the Dalian City Customs Department in the northeastern province of Liaoning has just issued a maritime warning. Accordingly, from 8 am on February 13 to 16 pm on February 17, in some areas north of the Yellow Sea, live ammunition will be fired, so vehicles will be banned from passing during this time.

Previously, on February 3, the Dalian Maritime Administration also issued a maritime warning, saying that from 4:00 p.m. on February 5 to 4:00 p.m. on February 12, military missions would be carried out in some waters north of the Yellow Sea in the Bohai Strait. These missions were carried out shortly following the US shot down a high-altitude Chinese hot air balloon that flew into its airspace, sparking a diplomatic row between the two sides.

Mr. Wang Yunfei, a Chinese military scholar, in an article posted on his personal page at the time, said that the military mission that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army carried out on February 5 was not an operation. test motion, which is a drill; the location of the drills to the north of the Yellow Sea, near the Korean peninsula, was “obviously aimed at joint US-ROK exercises”, which lasted up to seven days, indicating that this was not the case. It’s a small-scale exercise.
