The National Paralympic Championship organized by the Chilean Table Tennis Federation Fechiteme was held on Saturdayat the National Stadium Sports Centre.

The Paralympic athletes from the Chillán Table Tennis Association and the Chillán Viejo Association achieved great results, demonstrating the high level of the discipline in the region.

Fabián Guerrero (Chillán) obtained first place in the adult class 5 in a wheelchair, while Joseline Yévenes (Chillán Viejo) obtained first place in the adult class 6-10.

Meanwhile, Ruperto Morales (Chillán) took second place in the adult class 8.

The outstanding Armin Rosas (Chillán Viejo) won silver in the adult 11 class, the same medal as Javier Inostroza (Chillán Viejo) who won it in the adult 10 class. Finally, Felipe Sieyes (Chillán) won third place in the adult 9 class.

Fabián Guerrero from Chillán was the great figure in this event, standing out as an undefeated national champion and champion for the third consecutive year in class 5 in adult wheelchairs.

The players of the Chillán Table Tennis Association were coached by coaches Esteban Carrasco and Walter Rivas, and the players of the Chillán Viejo Association were coached by coach Juan Pablo Zapata.

“We met the objectives we had with the athletes from Chillán, and we are happy with the results. We continue to stand out year after year in the national Paralympic championships, being protagonists at national and international level. I am super happy and motivated especially with the results of Fabián Guerrero, who has shown for the third consecutive year to be the best in Chile in adult wheelchair class 5. He trains with me at the Nélson Oyarzún Arenas Stadium in Chillán and we will prepare for the Paralympic World Circuit that will take place during the month of October in Santiago,” said the coach, Esteban Carrasco.
