A passenger who was on board at the time recalled, “The crew said we had to make an emergency landing because the pilot was uncomfortable. LATAM Airlines issued a statement followingwards, saying, “During the flight, we complied with all necessary regulations to protect the life of the pilot. Unfortunately, he passed away following receiving further medical assistance following landing. We deeply regret Saddened and once once more expressing our deepest condolences.”
