The “Chilean Football Travelling Museum Bus” of the Professional Footballers Union of Chile arrives in Coelemu this weekend, with some of the most emblematic trophies and images of the most glorious moments in football.

The event will take place between Friday, June 28 and Sunday, June 30, days in which the bus will travel through various towns in the commune and will end on Sunday in the civic plaza. Visitors will be able to see the trophies from the Copa América 2015 and the Centenario 2016 of “La Roja”. In addition, the trophies from the Copa Sudamericana 2011 won by Universidad de Chile and the Copa Libertadores 1991 won by Colo Colo, among others, will be present.

The museum bus displays images, portraits and memorabilia documenting the rich history of Chilean football.

The mayor of Coelemu, Alejandro Pedreros, expressed his enthusiasm for this activity: “We are very pleased to bring the Chilean Football Itinerant Museum Bus to our commune. It is an excellent opportunity for our neighbors to learn more regarding the history and achievements of our football. We want everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, to feel part of this rich heritage and to be filled with pride when seeing these trophies and memories.”

The Chilean Football Itinerant Museum Bus was created in 2018 as a social and cultural initiative by Sifup. It is a display of more than 500 collection pieces, which depict and narrate the more than 100 years of football history in the country.
