Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the country due to the proliferation of the variant Omicron throughout Chile. This Friday, for the third consecutive day, the country registered a peak of daily infections, marking more than 24,000 infected for the second day.

They are added with new maximum infections Arica (697), Antofagasta (1,739), Maule (1,119), Los Ríos (583) and Los Lagos (1,104).
Also, ten regions today register a record of active cases: Arica, Atacama, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Metropolitana, O′Higgins, Ñuble, Biobío, La Araucanía, Aysén.
