To celebrate children’s month, Alexa received special activities aimed at children and families. Interactions include “Story Time”, which features tales such as Maria Enrolada, Fofa Fofoca, Vaquinha Fantasma and Casa dos Espíritos, as well as jokes and riddles.
Stories are available in audio for all devices in the Echo line or with integrated Alexa, while models in the Echo Show family (Echo Show 5, Echo Show 8, Echo Show 10 and Echo Show 15) will display new original animations on screen.
The virtual assistant was also programmed with jokes, riddles and even imitations that entertain the little ones. She can, for example, speak in “Whales”, the language of whales popularized by the friendly Dory in the film “Finding Nemo”, or even imitate characters such as SpongeBob and Donald Duck.
On October 12th, the command “Alexa, good morning” will come with a special message, honoring Children’s Day.
The assistant also comes with personalized skills such as Akinator, Image and Action, Jurassic World Challenge, Galinha Pintadinha, Turma da Mônica and DPA na Escuta to promote family activities.
This month, Amazon Music launched an exclusive version of Mundo Bita. The music can also be heard on Echo devices or with Alexa integrated and will feature a special appearance from Alexa. To listen to the track, just ask “Alexa, play Palco de Brinquedos com Mundo Bita and Palavra Cantada”.
With the Parent Dashboard, parents can control content, access some Alexa features and even view their children’s usage history. Amazon Kids also has time limits, breaks and a “Bedtime” schedule.
