Polyhedros organizes again this year in Patras for the 28th year, the Children’s and Teen Book Festival, from April 20 to 24, combining World Children’s Book Day (April 2) with World Book Day (April 23).

During the Festival many events are planned with children’s book authors, illustrators, other book professionals and educators, at the Polyhedron and Achaia Clauss.

In the fairytale area of ​​Achaia Clauss, the big celebration will take place this Sunday, April 21, from 10 am to 2 pm, with educational, entertainment and creative activities, with themes from the books. The authors are invited: Alexia Vogdou, Anna Dendrinou, Vangelis Iliopoulos, Vissaria Zorba-Rammopoulou, Ioanna Arabatzi, Maria Laiou. At the same time, there will be artistic painting, engraving and printing workshops. Ex libris will be made by engraver and illustrator Christina Dimitropoulou.

With teacher Iota Lambrakaki and the Gardenia family, the children will create a story about “the cookie that didn’t like its shape”

The start of the Festival is on Saturday at 11 am in the Polyhedron, with various activities for the “preparation of the Festival” and for the children to start creating the “Book of books”.

From Monday to Wednesday in the Polyhedron area there will be an exhibition of children’s and teenage books and there will be educational activities with people from the book field (graphic designer, typographer, writers, etc.) for school groups,
