Children suffer hypothermia during camp in the State of Mexico

STATE OF MEXICO.- During the early hours of yesterday Monday, the emergency services They attended to 60 adolescents and 17 adults after some of them suffered hypothermia and discomfort while they were in a camp in the Apatlaco Ecotourism Parklocated in the municipality of Amecameca.

The coordinator of Civil Protection and Comprehensive Risk Management of the State of Mexico, Adrián Hernández Romero, reported that 12 adolescents had hypothermia, but that It was a group of 60 people who were experiencing discomfort after entering a waterfall located in the Apatlaco Ecotourism Park.

The hikers belong to the congregation of the church of Santo Domingofrom Mexico City, who were camping at that site. Some of the minors entered the waterfall, got wet, ran and suffered physical exhaustion due to the height of the mountain.

They arrived at the place Civil Protection Paramedics of the State of Mexico and the Red Cross of Amecameca, who located the minors and provided them with medical attention.
