As agreedthe second expansion of Back 4 Blood comes out today and reveals itself a little more through a new trailer. In “Children of the Worm”, players face in an all-new campaign composed of six chapters an unprecedented threat: the men of the sands Cultists. According to the descriptions that have come down to us, this group of deranged (sic) humans are fighting for the ascension of the infested. A sort of zombie version of Sea Shepard perhaps?
To help defeat this new enemy, Dan the “Prophet”, a self-proclaimed and armed-to-the-teeth preacher of the end times, also appears. Other than continuing the long tradition of men of faith in the zombie universe, not much is known regarding him at this time.
It comes in any case with six new chapters, new weapons and some cards to collect. And of course, its share of useless cosmetics. This extension, which follows Terror Tunnelsis also part of Back 4 Blood Annual Pass. According to the press release, it will also be available for purchase separately, once morest, we imagine, around fifteen euros. However, at the time of writing this article, there is no link where to get the extension. Hoping that, like the previous one, if a player in the group owns the DLC, all other participants will have partial access to its content.
To note that since a June update, the game’s card system has evolved. You still compose your hand before launching a campaign, but you no longer discover new cards between each level. On the contrary, they are all distributed to you (15) from the start. No idea of the relevance of this readjustment, but the release of this new DLC may be the opportunity to give Back 4 Blood a second chance for those, like me, who had been annoyed by the management of a deck all the 10 minutes.
