Chennai: The world-renowned Iranian director Majeed Majeed’s world-famous film ‘Children of Heaven’, which has been remade in Tamil with films like ‘Uyir’, ‘Mrigam’, ‘Sindhu Samaveli’ and ‘Kangaroo’, is coming to Tamil Nadu in the third week of May. .
Most of the films made by Sami are themes of discussion with theme and presentation. Eleven-year-old Mahin and seven-year-old Dawi are child actors who play the lead roles of brother and sister in the Tamil film ‘Akka Kuruvi’, the world-famous Oscar-nominated film ‘Children of Heaven’ directed by Iranian director and writer Majeed Majeed.
Famous classical dancers Tara Jagdampa and Senthil Kumar play the role of parents of children who have been auditioned by regarding two people. Varsha Bollamma, a notable South Indian heroine in ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ fame Kathir, Vijay Sethupathi’s 96 and Asif Ali’s Mandaram, will also be making guest appearances.
Director Sami says that ‘Children of Heaven’, a visual version of the two-shoe theme, was an internationally acclaimed film and it was a challenge to remake it in Tamil. When Ilayaraja was approached to compose the music, he said, ‘Come and shoot the film first. Let’s see following that ‘was Ilayaraja’s reply. Because his favorite movie is ‘Children of Heaven’. He doubted how much justice Sami might do to it. However, when the film was edited and shown following the shooting, Ilayaraja was completely satisfied and asked him to write all the three songs and shoot them as well. Similarly, Majeed Majeed, who saw ‘Akka Kuruvi’, said that he has done better than him and at the same time Uthpal, the Malayalee who handled the camera of the film. Special congratulations to V. Nayanar, Majeed Majeed and Ilayaraja also make Sami proud.
