The ministry also said that medical insurance is mandatory for Umrah pilgrims coming from abroad. Children under the age of five are not allowed to perform Umrah and prayers at Rawda in Madinah. Vaccination is not mandatory for both nationals and foreigners inside Saudi Arabia to enter the two mosques. Those who have been in contact with Kovid patients are not allowed to enter.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that it has withdrawn the immun status check imposed on pilgrims in the Kovid situation to enter the harems of Makkah and Madinah. The Ministry of Umrah also clarified that the provisions of Institutional Quarantine, Home Quarantine and PCR Negative Certificate have also been waived. Last week, the home ministry issued a waiver on Kovid’s precautionary measures in the country.
