Children from Kudielela and Mercês Homes benefit from food – news

The children welcomed into the Homes of Sisters Mercês and Kudielela, linked to the Catholic Church, in this city, benefited, yesterday, from food and a celebratory lunch, in a gesture by the Provincial Basketball Association in partnership with Grémio de Malanje. The offer is part of as part of the child’s early Christmas and aimed to show solidarity with them.

The goods delivered include rice, pasta, cornmeal, sugar, beans, milk, chicken, used clothes and toys.

The head of Lar das Mercês, Maria Dolores, considered the gesture to be one of humanism and fraternity, having appealed to other associations and individuals to sympathize with the children’s needs, help with basic necessities, medicines and teaching materials.

In turn, the president of the Provincial Basketball Association, Emerson Caholo said that the initiative represents, on the other hand, the institution’s social responsibility.

Currently, the two reception centers manage more than 60 orphaned and abandoned children.
