Child falls from glass viewing platform in Atlixco, Puebla; this is what we know

A family experienced moments of terror following a small 3-year-old boy suddenly fell from the glass observation deck located in the Atlixco area, in the state of Puebla, apparently due to the carelessness of his own parents.

The incident occurred last Sunday, July 14, when several tourists went to the Magical Town of Flowers area. Among the group was a family who visited the famous viewpoint that has captivated visitors thanks to the views it offers due to its construction.

The structure is 50 meters high and even though the workers themselves warn that it is necessary to remain attentive with the little ones because, in addition to the dangers that other travelers may represent, incidents such as the one that happened to this child of only 3 years of age can occur.

Witnesses who were at the scene said that the minor was in the company of his family when they all decided to access the glass viewing platform in order to get a view of the entire town and the nature around it.

This attraction amazes its visitors, a situation that apparently caused the little boy’s mother to become distracted and neglect her son, who fell from a significant height, but fortunately for the family, he did not suffer significant damage as he fell very close to the construction.

After realizing what had happened, some people who were visiting the place quickly called the emergency teams so that they might rescue the little boy as soon as possible and avoid a bigger tragedy. At the same time, the terrified mother did not stop screaming for help since her little boy was in danger and required expert support.

The mother said that she was fully responsible for what happened to her son, and that she would take whatever action was necessary to keep her child safe.

Thanks to the mobilization of the people at the scene, elements of the Fire Department of the municipality of Atlixco arrived at the scene and began to prepare their tools and accessories to begin the rescue protocols. One of the uniformed officers managed to reach where the minor was by rappelling, when he went down he took the child and when he returned to the ground paramedics were already in the area, who proceeded to take his vital signs and determined that, despite the fall, he was well and alive.

Although the injured child did not have serious injuries, he was quickly transferred to the General Hospital of Atlixco because he did have blows to the head area, although he is stable and responding correctly.
