Child Falls From 29th Floor | New York

New York ∙ A three-year-old boy died following falling from the 29th floor balcony of a building in the US. The incident took place on Saturday morning at an apartment in New York City. The child who fell to the fifth floor of the building was rushed to the hospital but might not be saved.

It is reported that father and mother were not near the child at the time of the incident. Knowing that the baby had fallen down, the father reached down and tried to save him, but to no avail. It is reported that the child fell down from the window. Eyewitnesses say that the child fell to the fifth floor with a loud noise and reached following hearing this noise.

New York City rules require owners of buildings with three or more apartments to install window guards if a child 10 or younger lives there. It is unclear whether such window guards were installed in this apartment. The police informed that they are investigating the incident.
