On January 25, 2020, Philipp Horn, Johannes Kühn, Janina Hettich-Walz and Vanessa Hinz came to the podium at Pokljuka in Slovenia. Since then there have been fourth places the highest of feelings for the biathletes of the German Ski Association.

On Saturday the mixed dress rehearsal for the Biathlon World Championships in Nove Mesto will take place in Antholz. Janina Hettich-Walz, Sophia Schneider, Johannes Kühn and Benedikt Doll start as co-favorites. Competitors for the podium are Norway, France, Sweden, Italy and Switzerland.
