The Bulls announced their Ring of Honor program on Tuesday. The first edition includes 13 players from the 1995-96 team, which went 72-10 in the regular season and won the NBA championship. Several events will be held in January to honor the group.
The first honorary class also includes Phil Jackson, Jerry Krause, Artis Gilmore, Jerry Sloan, Toni Kukoc, Bob Love, Chet Walker, Johnny Kerr, Tex Winter, Dick Klein, etc.
Phil Jackson was the Bulls head coach that season, Jerry Krause led the administrative team, and Chet Walker was the assistant coach.
“The Chicago Bulls Ring of Honor is an unprecedented celebration honoring the many legends who have helped shape our franchise over the past 57 years and who share a deep connection with our fans and community,” Bulls president Michael Reinsdorf said in a press release. Connection represents the spirit of competition, hard work and perseverance.”
