The Milan Prosecutor’s Office has closed the investigations, in view of the request for trial, against Chiara Ferragni and three other people (the former right-hand man Fabio Damato, the manager Alessandra Balocco and the entrepreneur Francesco Cannillo) for the accusation of continued and aggravated fraud. At the center of the investigation, conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza, are the cases of alleged misleading advertising linked to the sales that occurred between 2021 and 2022 of the “Pink Christmas” Balocco pandoro and Easter eggs. The investigations by the economic and financial police unit of the Guardia di Finanza of Milan, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Eugenio Fusco and the prosecutor Cristian Barilli, we read in a note signed by the Milan prosecutor, Marcello Viola, in relation to the closure of the investigation, « have made it possible to reconstruct the planning and dissemination of communications of a deceptive nature, aimed at misleading consumers regarding the connection between the purchase of advertised products and charitable initiatives”.
