Chery Tiggo 9: what is the new 2025 midsize SUV like?
Chery launched the Tiggo 9 in China, the SUVexpected to hit the Brazilian market next year, was presented in two versions. More details below!
Design and structure of the Tiggo 9
The Tiggo 9 impresses with its size and style. The model features a high waist line and a slightly lowered, panoramic roof, giving a more sporty appearance, while retractable door handles and a wide front grille reinforce the feeling of modernity and strength.
Presented in versions with five or seven seats, the SUV is 4.82 meters long and 1.71 meters high and 1.93 meters wide, guaranteeing more internal space, especially in the second and third rows of seats.

Engine and performance
One of the models of Chery Tiggo 9 It will be offered with a 2.0 combustion engine, which will deliver 257 hp and 40.5 kgfm of torque. The plug-in hybrid version combines a 1.5 gasoline engine, with a power of 154 hp and 22.5 kgfm of torque. It is already electrically powered to reach up to 221 hp and 39 kgfm.
The car can travel about 106 km without using fuel in a WLTP cycle. With both engines – recharged battery and full fuel tank, the estimated range is 1,400 km.
Luxurious and technological interior
Inside, the Tiggo 9 focuses on luxury and sophisticated design. The hybrid version’s dashboard is dominated by two 15.6-inch floating screens. The combustion model has a 12.3-inch screen. Additionally, the car supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing full integration with smartphones.
Features such as leather seats with massage function, customizable interior lighting system and steering wheels with sensitive buttons are part of the package. The SUV’s finish is completely premium, with white and light brown coverings and details that resemble wood.
Standard and safety equipment
In addition to the features already mentioned, the Tiggo 9 is equipped with other technologies, including adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition, front, side and curtain airbags.
It also has automatic emergency braking assistant, stability and traction control and automatic transmission.
Launch forecast and price of Chery Tiggo 9 in Brazil
Nothing official yet, but the expectation is that the Chery Tiggo 9 will start to be sold in Brazil from 2025. Regarding the price, the combustion model, in China, starts at 152 thousand yuan (R$ 115 thousand in direct conversion), the hybrid version costs around 203 thousand yuan (R$ 160 thousand).
However, these values in reais should rise considerably, as taxes will still be added.
