[국민투데이 김미숙 기자] Archery gold medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Kim Woo-jin, from Cheongju City Hall, won the ticket to Hangzhou by placing first in the ‘2022 National Archery Team 2nd Final Evaluation Competition’ held at Wonju Archery Stadium in Gangwon-do from the 17th to the 21st.
Kim Woo-jin scored a total of 17.6 points in the first and second rounds, and was confirmed to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games as the first in the recurve. Kim Woo-jin played a stable game by taking first place in both the selection and evaluation matches this year.
Kim Woo-jin, who also won gold in the individual event at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, will challenge for the second consecutive victory in the Hangzhou Asian Games this September.
In this way, four recurve male and female players each were determined to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games. In the men’s division, players Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall), Kim Je-deok (Gyeongbuk Il high school), Oh Jin-hyeok (Hyundai Steel), and Lee Woo-seok (Kolon Xten Boys) were confirmed. Choi Mi-sun (Suncheon City Hall) gave the ticket to Hangzhou.
