“No link might be made” between these procedures, all entrusted to the same investigative service, DCT-33, indicates the Bordeaux public prosecutor’s office in a press release. “As they stand, only two deaths are to be deplored,” continues the public prosecutor, Frédérique Porterie.

It concerns a couple of two men, aged 46 and 44, who died at their home on March 12, probably as a result of an overdose. They used GHB and 3MMC (methylmethcathinone), synthetic drugs associated in the chemsex scene, because of their aphrodisiac properties. Although the results of the analyzes are still pending, an investigation has been opened for manslaughter.

On March 16, a man was hospitalized following feeling unwell at home. He was in the company of two men who alerted the emergency services and declared that they had consumed 3M™ with him. The victim is out of danger, and a second investigation is underway for drug trafficking and unintentional injuries.

Finally, a man discovered unconscious at his home by a cleaning lady was hospitalized and then, once out of danger, taken into police custody. Drugs and conditioning equipment were found in his home.

“He declared that he obtained his supplies on the Internet by ordering illicit products on a Dutch site or by obtaining supplies in Bordeaux,” indicates the prosecution. A fan of “chemsex”, he admitted to organizing parties for this purpose and selling narcotics since 2021.”

The man was placed in pre-trial detention and will be tried on April 22 at the Bordeaux Criminal Court on charges of “illicit importation, acquisition, transport, offer or transfer of substances or plants classified as narcotics”, in this case 3M™, GBL, cocaine, ecstasy and MDMA.
