Chelsea Football Club recently announced a major new partnership with Fever, a fan-based entertainment discovery technology platform. The partnership has increased the visibility of the jerseys, with the Fever logo now appearing on the sleeves of the men’s first team jerseys, as well as the sleeves of the women’s team and academy jerseys for the upcoming season.
Chelsea deal worth almost €8m per season
The partnership will bring the Blues the equivalent of €8 (more or less) €8 million per year. That said, it’s less than the London club’s main rivals Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, who receive between €12 and €23 million from sponsors on their shirt sleeves. The Blues are in trouble as they are unable to compete in this season’s Champions League.
The Blues have no major sponsors on their kits
Chelsea are yet to find a major sponsor for the robes as the deal with Infinite Athlete only covers the end of last season and summer friendlies. This represents a shortfall of approximately 50 million euros for the club
