Among which is a new tourism house mentioned during a communication meeting held recently in Chefchaouen, under the theme “The territorial investment offer and support mechanisms for entrepreneurship”. Given the importance of this new reception and information space on the blue pearl and its hinterland, “the Chamber is currently considering the activation of the tourism house project, in partnership with the municipality of Chefchaouen,” said Hussein Ben Tayeb, first vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (CCIS-TTA), pointing out that this project was submitted to review and approval “as part of the CCIS-TTA 2023 Action Plan.”

Long-awaited, the future tourism house, which will be inspired by other projects already operational for the benefit of famous world destinations, will first and foremost be a reception and information space for visitors on the tourism and leisure offer. in Chefchaouene. Its mission is to discover and highlight the cultural and tourist wealth of the blue pearl, while programming entertainment activities on its territory.
Initiated by the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Regional Investment Center (CRI-TTA), this communication meeting provided an overview of the entrepreneurial dynamic in the region, with the creation of some 120 companies during the first semester of 2023 in Chefchaouen, whose 21% share is in the hotel and catering industry to generate job opportunities in both sectors. Especially since the blue pearl was able to record record attendance during the two months of July and August, to the delight of hoteliers and restaurateurs. This enthusiasm makes professionals and simple Chefchaounis more optimistic regarding the extension of the summer season in the blue pearl until the end of September.

Note that Chefchaouen succeeds, thanks to its picturesque landscape and the beautiful architecture typical of its neighborhoods and its houses with blue facades, to attract tourists during the year, but the level of their arrivals differs according to periods such as holidays. where the tourist frequentation reaches its highest level. Foreign tourists, especially Europeans, Americans, Canadians, Chinese and Israelis, have made up the largest share of visitors to the city in recent years.
