Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez described as a “disaster” his participation in the Monaco Grand Prix. Unlike last year where he took the victory in the mythical circuit of the principality, in this season of the Formula 1 the Mexican did not score points following finishing sixteenth at the Monte Carlo Circuit.
After the race, Helmut Marko, Red Bull adviser, regretted the participation of Checo Pérez and made it clear that he hopes that this type of error will not be repeated in the remainder of this season.
“We had to try something different and so he quickly switched to the hard tyre, following which he also had fresh air. But then there were many little moments […]. We hope that they have also been mistakes for the entire season, so that moments like last weekend do not repeat themselves in the remainder of the year“, he told Motorsport.

“THIS CANNOT HAPPEN TO US AGAIN” ????
Checo Pérez is very hurt by this bad weekend, he knows that a mistake like this cannot happen once more, because he can be fired from the championship.

He showered Verstappen with praise!
On the other hand, the adviser to the Austrian team highlighted the participation of Max Verstappen this weekend. The Dutch midfielder took his fourth victory this season in Formula 1 and increased his lead to continue leading the drivers’ championship.
“It started with that brilliant qualifying lap and that line continued on Sunday. He was the fastest man in all conditions: wet, dry, semi-dry and even quite wet. It didn’t matter and that makes this weekend a highlight for me. Nor can it be compared to Max’s first victory in Monaco. That one was relatively easy, this one was special. I also have to say: no matter what Alonso did, Max responded. He still had a lot of reservations ”, sentenced.
