The 15-year-old son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Adam, has been appointed head of his father’s security service, according to official information.

The teenager who recently beat up a defenseless man in a prison and kicked him to the ground was “a shining example” for his generation, said the commander of Kadyrov’s Akhmat special army, Samid Chalayev, on Instagram on Sunday night.

He published a photo of himself with Adam Kadyrov. Other officials also praised Kadyrov’s son’s “leadership qualities.”

Ramzan Kadyrov, who leads the Russian republic of Chechnya in the North Caucasus with a hard hand, was once deputy security chief for his father Akhmat Kadyrov, who was killed in an assassination attempt in 2004. National Policy Minister Akhmed Dudayev also congratulated Kadyrov’s son on the “important post.” The teenager had previously received several medals and now carries, among other things, the title of “Hero of Chechnya” after he severely mistreated a man who burned a Koran while in custody.

Beating attack caused worldwide horror

Ramzan Kadyrov, who is accused of murder and other serious crimes against humanity, proudly published a video of his son beating the suspect. This caused horror in parts of Russian society. The young person was not prosecuted under criminal law.

The victim was a man who was arrested in Volgograd for publicly burning a Koran and later transferred to the Muslim-majority region of Chechnya. The video sparked discussions and criticism across Russia that Kadyrov was putting himself above Russian law. Russian President Vladimir Putin received Ramzan Kadyrov in the Kremlin a few days after the scandal and praised the developments in Chechnya.

Have sons pose with weapons

Last year, Kadyrov had three sons, including Adam, pose with weapons in Ukraine. According to him, they also fought there as part of the armed forces sent by Putin in the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. Observers, however, expressed doubts that the Kadyrov sons actually took part in real fighting.
