Chayenne Van Aarle, Miss Belgium 2022, was the victim of a serious car accident, according to her boyfriend, who told the facts to Het Laatste Nieuws.
According to HLN, the accident occurred at 1:32 p.m. on the E17, just before the Kruibeke exit towards Antwerp. The 23-year-old was regarding to go home to her boyfriend, Nicolas Geniets, in Waasmunster. She was on her way back to the left bank of Antwerp, where she lives.
“However, near Kruibeke, Chayenne crashed into a truck that was queuing in the traffic jam. The shock was particularly violent and his car remained largely stuck under the semi-trailer“, specifies the site, adding that it took half an hour for the firefighters to free her.
Injured in the head, Chayenne received first aid on the spot by a doctor, then was transferred in critical condition to ZNA Middelheim in Antwerp, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.
