Chavista mayor denies link with Koki:”We continue working”

Pedro Hernández, Chavista mayor of the municipality of Santos Michelena in Aragua state, denied on Tuesday any links with Carlos Revete’s gang, alías el Koki, and that the mayor’s office had been raided following the death of the offender.

“A voice memo that’s running all over the country, that there were break-ins at the mayor’s office. Well, let me tell you that we are still working, ” said the mayor in an audio released by The Newspaper.

Hernández added that to date, no worker from the Santos Michelena Mayor’s office has been detained by the authorities.

“There are no links, there are no actions, but love and commitment to our people,” he added.

Deivis Ramírez, a journalist with the fuente de sucesos, said Hernández’s statements came following his alleged links with el Koki and el Conejo became known, following finding photographs on cell phones recovered by Cicpc in which he portrays himself with the criminals.

Death of the Koki

The minister of Interior of the government of Nicolás Maduro, Remigio Ceballos, confirmed on Tuesday followingnoon the death of Revete, a criminal who maintained control of the 905 Level for years.
