“Chavista Hacker Arrested for Corruption Dies in Custody: Latest News and Updates”

The Chavista hacker, Juan Almeida, arrested a few weeks ago for allegedly being involved in the corruption and embezzlement plot once morest Petróleos de Venezuela, died this Monday according to the Venezuelan authorities.

Almeida, was known by the alias “N33” and was under house arrest. Early Tuesday morning, the Venezuelan Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, confirmed that Almeida had “a terminal illness diagnosed as cirrhosis of the liver.”

Juan Manuel Almeida Morgado was arrested by the National Police Against Corruption (Pncc) on April 5. The authorities raided his home.

It was learned that following being arrested, he had to be transferred to a clinic due to health problems and there the hearing in which he was charged was held and he was given a house in jail.

His brothers, Jorge Luis and Carlos Jesús Almeida Morgado, were also arrested and charged before the 2nd Control Court.

Who was Juan Almeida?

Known as “N33”, Juan Almeida, according to sources, was known for boycotting and cloning the social networks of many people who made former Oil Minister Tareck El Aissami uncomfortable, which is why he was nicknamed the “El Aissami hacker”.

Almeida’s figure went viral on social media when an ex-partner of his accused him of being “misogynistic.” The woman assured that Almeida was not fulfilling her responsibilities and that he was attacking her.

Journalists have denounced that Almeida tried to hack accounts in complicity with mobile phone operators. He was also accused of attacking information portals.

With Almeida, there are two deaths in state custody linked to the PDVSA corruption plot, the first was Leonel Azuaje, who died in April in an alleged suicide.

Azuaje was president of the state company Cartones de Venezuela, an institution that, like Petróleos de Venezuela, was being investigated for alleged embezzlement, although the amount has not yet been revealed by the State.
