Chavismo lost in 10 of the 11 faculties of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) in the elections of representatives of graduates of that house of studies, which correspond to the period 2022-2024.

Despite the use of public resources to mobilize voters, the ruling party only managed to win the Faculty of Humanities and Education, where two opposition groups competed.

“Chavismo placed its red dots, mobilized buses, used movilnet text messaging inviting people to vote for their option and they could only win in: Social Communication, Sociology, Economy, History and Education,” the university wrote on Twitter.

The electoral process, which should be every 2 years, took place on Wednesday between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm after more than 10 years of delay.
