Maduro had ordered the blockade for 10 days, but This deadline ended on Sunday and X remains blocked. In this regard, Ñáñez said that the measure was extended because the company has not met some of Maduro’s demands.

«We are still waiting for them to take over“, Ñáñez said in an interview with the media La Iguana. The minister specified that X has to formally present the board of directors of the company.

Likewise, Chavismo wants that X appoints a representative of the social network in Venezuela. This person must take “responsibility” and “accept the laws” in order to “make legal use of the platform.”
