ChatGPT will now be able to be integrated into all applications

OpenAI will make its programming interface available to developers. Expect a tidal wave.

If you don’t know ChatGPT yet, you will quickly get to know it. The conversational chatbot developed by OpenAI will soon be found in thousands of apps of all kinds since the startup announces the arrival of an API, that is to say a programming interface.

Put simply, this allows developers to easily integrate ChatGPT into their own applications for a fee ($0.002 for approximately 750 words). The model used will be that of ChatPGT, ie GPT-3.5 Turbo.

Earlier this week, Snapchat announced that it had integrated the famous chatbot as a “virtual friend” for paying users.

This announcement promises both to be invaded by ChatGPT, which will bring new functionalities to many services (response to customers for example) but also a large source of income for OpenAI which already offers a premium version of ChatGPT at 20 dollars per month.

OpenAI is also launching an API for its Whisper tool, a voice recognition model to easily switch from voice to text.
