The British newspaper The Sun reported yesterday, Tuesday, that Prince Harry and his wife Megan will lose the house they used to live in while they are in Britain, as King Charles offered it to his brother, Prince Andrew, to live in, but Andrew rejected this offer.

The newspaper added that Charles’ decision comes in the wake of offensive remarks by Harry and Meghan regarding Harry’s father Charles and Harry’s elder brother Prince William and other members of the royal family in his recent memoirs, a Netflix documentary and a series of television interviews.

The newspaper reported that their previous home, Frogmore Cottage, had been offered to Prince Andrew, the king’s younger brother, who was forced to step down from his royal role over his relationship with American convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But Andrew wants to stay in his current home nearby.

Buckingham Palace said it would not comment on the report. A royal family source said any such discussions would be a private family matter. There was no immediate comment from Harry’s office.

Harry and Meghan moved to Frogmore Cottage within the grounds of Windsor Castle, west of London, following their marriage in 2018.

After giving up their royal duties in 2020, they moved to California, United States, to start a new life and a new career, but Frogmore Cottage remained their home in Britain.

They also agreed to repay 2.4 million pounds ($2.9 million) in taxpayer money that was spent renovating the house.
