Charles Leclerc “The end of Mercedes F1 hegemony is not a surprise”[F1-Gate .com]

Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari isn’t surprised that the Mercedes F1 supremacy has come to an end, saying “at some point all teams will stop winning.”

Mercedes F1 has been the dominant force in F1 since the dawn of the power unit era in 2014, winning an unprecedented eight consecutive years of Constructors’titles and seven Driver’s titles.

But until this season, Mercedes F1 hasn’t been able to win. With its revolutionary “Zero Pod”, the Mercedes W13 suffers from excessive popping problems, a side effect of the ground effect car, at the expense of downforce and pace.

After seven races, Mercedes F1 has only won the podium in 3rd place three times and is now in 3rd place in the ranking, 101 points behind last year’s rival Red Bull.

“I think at some point all teams will have a stop to win,” Charles Leclerc said of the current state of Mercedes F1.

“But it’s strange that such a dominant team is in trouble early in the season.”

Mercedes F1 seemed to have turned the corner in terms of minimizing bouncing by debuting a new wing in Barcelona.

However, in the next round in Monaco, fierce vinesing appeared again, and both drivers complained. Lewis Hamilton said that his teeth and jaw were moving all the time, and that he was “trembling” after the race.

Lewis Hamilton finished the race in Monaco in 8th place, while George Russell, who finished in 5th place, continued to finish in the top five.

Charles Leclerc says it would be foolish to exclude Mercedes F1 from participating in a race-winning battle in the edition.

“We know how strong they are, so we won’t forget them for a long time,” said Charles Leclerc.

“It’s no coincidence that they have achieved in the past, which is the result of the cooperation of the right people.”

“They are having a hard time starting the season, but they will definitely be back soon.”

“They have taken the first step in Barcelona. I hope they will come back soon and compete with us for victory. It’s exciting to see F1 fighting three teams.”
