Charleroi strengthens defense with arrival of Syrian defenders Alham DaredCarroll has joined Slavia Prague on loan with an option to buy until the end of the season, the club said on Wednesday.
Usu, 24, has joined Slavia Prague from Swedish club Haken since July 2021. The Swedish-born defender made 73 appearances for the Czech club, contributing 2 goals and 3 assists. Last season, he was loaned to Hacon for the first half of the season and then to Cadiz in Spain for the next six months.
Usu has also represented the Syrian national team 6 times, especially in the Asian Cup of Nations in January last year. Charleroi started their league journey with a 0-1 loss to Antwerp last Sunday. The Zebras travel to Sint-Truiden on Saturday (8:45pm) for day two of the Pro League.
