A stressful week is slowly coming to an end for Charlène of Monaco. The princess obviously doesn’t allow herself to rest for a second, even though her last health slump wasn’t that long ago.
Monaco – One appointment is currently chasing another in the Princely House of Monaco. There is little time to relax. But while everyday routine at the Palais Princier de Monaco takes hold at a high level, there is also growing concern that Charlène of Monaco (45) might overdo it. After her long recovery period, is the princess up to the task?
The week is packed with appointments and crowds of people just waiting for Charlène
At the beginning of the week, the royal couple visited l’Espace Lamartine, a meeting point open to all Monegasques for activities such as workshops, sports or creative leisure activities. In the presence of Albert II (65) and Charlène, the Archbishop of Monaco, Monseigneur Dominique-Marie David (60), blessed the premises before the tour began with Mayor Georges Marsan (66), several local council members and delegates. Charlène smiles neatly as usual for the cameras in the group photo.

The following day, Albert blows up. Literally: As part of the preparations for the Prince Albert II Cup in Monaco, the sovereign boards an ecological hot air balloon in the colors of the principality and takes off. While her husband lets the fresh wind blow around his nose, the princess takes care of all matters relating to the palace, including her children Jacques and Gabriellas (both 8).
Charlène of Monaco “almost died” according to friends
PageSix had revealed the statement of friends that the Princess of Monaco “almost died”. Charlène had to undergo several operations in South Africa in spring 2021 as a result of a serious ENT infection. In photos she appeared extremely emaciated. An ENT infection had caused severe sinus and swallowing problems in connection with a previous operation. The princess only returned in November 2021. After hospital stays, the therapy was gradually tapered off, so it has been less than a year since Charléne slowly found her way back to her duties.

Wednesday is approaching and brings with it the opening of the Monaco Yacht Show 2023, which will be on display at Port Hercule until September 30th. It is the most beautiful superyacht collection of the year, presented in the idyllic setting of Monaco. Charlène accompanies Albert all day and in the evening inaugurates a new sea and airport police speedboat for sea rescue together with Charlotte Casiraghi (37). She routinely looks into the cameras next to Albert.
Thursday brings a new crowd of people to the Prince’s Palace. The Only Watch Community is joining forces with Prince and Princess to raise money for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy (a hereditary disease). Charléne looks seriously into the camera lens in the heart of the community, dressed all in black. As nice as it is to see the Princess so active, if you consider the ongoing rumors of separation and prestigious trips that Charlène is taking once more, the strain is still very high.
