Six non-profit organizations shared a total amount of $250,000 during the special broadcast of The goose that lays golden eggs presented on Sunday, while Laurent Duvernay-Tardif was there.
For the occasion, we highlighted the global movement of generosity Tuesday I give and the episode was part of the charity program We benefit from giving backfrom Loto-Québec.
Each participant had to choose the organization with which they wished to associate themselves and to which the state corporation would give a donation equivalent to the amount they won during the show, up to a maximum amount of $100,000.
Each organization was represented on the set, which explains the presence of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. This is because Charles-Émile Raby, from Saint-André-Avellin, in Outaouais, had chosen the Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Foundation. As Mr. Raby won $16,500 while playing, this sum will be donated to the foundation set up by the friendly doctor and footballer.
France Bourgon, from Saint-Amable, in Montérégie, had chosen the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, where her husband received excellent care. The foundation will receive a donation of $47,000.
Josée Courchesne, from Saint-Ambroise, in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, joined forces with the Fondation Santé Jonquière. It is a donation of $100,000 which will be shared between the four CHSLDs in the region at the request of the winner.
Monique Larivière, from Maniwaki, in Outaouais, had opted for Leucan, which will receive a donation of $8,500.
Louise Léonard, from La Minerve, in the Laurentians, chose Signée Femmes de Rivière-Rouge, who will receive a donation of $58,000.
Finally, Noëlla Therrien and Claude Desrochers, from Trois-Rivières, in Mauricie, had selected the Multiple Sclerosis Canada, Mauricie region organization. The organization will receive a donation of $22,000.
During the episode of December 3, at 5:30 p.m., on TVA, the jackpot of The goose that lays golden eggs will reach $1,275,000.
