After Leandro Díaz(Abel Villa) and his brother Jaime find themselves without food and with the house destroyed by the storm, they decide to go to their uncle Laureano, having to cross a river.

The current defeats them, but Leandro manages to cross to the other shore and save his brother.
Leandro falls ill and his brother believes him dead, but when he meets his uncle he decides to take them to Aunt Erótida (Aida Bossa), who takes care of Leandro from the strong fever he suffered.
Nacha and her family run out to look for their children and only find traces of them, but they manage to find each other.
Leandro is distant from his mother and, hurt for having left them alone, composes a harsh song for her entitled “July 15”, which he reveals to his aunt Erótida.
The family reproaches Nacha (Machado Vineyard) and Onofre (Diego Vasquez) for having left the children alone and following their discussion they demand that Onofre accept Erótida back into his house.
Once they arrive at Los Pajales once more and having found the harmonica, Leandro decides to sing the song he composed for his mother, who is devastated by every word and melody.
Arturo tells Onofre what happened and he gets angry with Leandro and hits him hard, asking him to respect his mother, which he stops following Erótida appears.
