Family members will conduct the last rites
Amar Singh Bishnoi, the nephew of the dera chief, stated that according to the traditions of the Bishnoi community, the body is buried by placing it in a samadhi. In line with this, Maharaj Bahadur Chand Lawyer Sahib was buried by his family members.

The last rites were conducted in Dera Jagmalwali by his son Om Prakash, grandson Mukesh Kumar Praveen Bishnoi, and brother Budh Ram Bishnoi. Meanwhile, devotees have been arriving at the dera since Thursday.

Dispute over the gaddi after the death
Immediately after the demise of Bahadur Chand Lawyer, a dispute arose over the gaddi in the dera. Last Thursday, while reading the will of the dera chief, the two factions clashed.

Supporters of Mahatma Birendra Singh claimed that the dera chief had made a will in their favor. On Thursday, as this will was being read out, Amar Singh and his associates started causing a commotion.

Videos went viral
Videos related to this commotion also surfaced, showing some people assaulting a person. The individual’s clothes are torn in the footage. Police are seen attempting to save him in the video. No FIR had been registered by late night regarding this incident. However, it was said that Amar Singh had lodged a complaint with the police, but this could not be confirmed.

Now read what both sides have accused each other of

First party: Amar Singh, nephew of the dera chief, claimed that “Virender Singh, Balkaur Singh, Shamsher Lahiri, and Nandlal Grover wanted to hurriedly conduct the last rites of Maharaj Bahadur Chand Lawyer in order to seize the dera gaddi. However, we did not agree to this. Maharaj ji’s death is suspicious and should be investigated by the CBI. Amar Singh stated that a written complaint has also been made to the police.”

Second party: Supporters of Mahatma Birendra Singh said that after the demise of the dera chief, his mortal remains were laid in the dera on Thursday. While the will of the dera chief was being read here, the other side caused an uproar. The allegations made against the second party are baseless. Maharaj ji prepared the will in full awareness, and it was duly videotaped.

Balochistani Ashram established 60 years ago
The dera was established in 1964-65. Here, Baba Sajjan Singh Ruhal donated several acres of land to Sant Gurbaksh Singh Manager Sahib and requested to establish a dera. Consequently, Sant Gurbaksh Singh Manager Sahib founded the Mastana Shah Balochistani Ashram here.

Initially, it was a small ashram. Now a sachkhand of about 100 feet by 100 feet has been constructed. Its uniqueness is that no pillars have been built in it.
