The final part of the stripper comedy is scheduled to hit theaters in February. The trailer offers a small foretaste.
As usual, Hollywood star Channing Tatum shows a lot of bare skin in the first trailer for the continuation of the stripper story regarding “Magic Mike”. Studio Warner Bros. posted the two-minute video for “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” on Tuesday. The final installment of the stripper comedy is slated to hit theaters in February.
“This is my last dance,” lead actor Tatum captioned the trailer on Instagram on Tuesday. In it he can be seen for the third time in the role of dancer Mike Lane, who now works as a bartender in Miami and meets a rich society lady there, played by Salma Hayek. She lures him to London with an offer for a big dance show. They might wake up the audience there with a “wave of passion,” she says in the video.
Strippers in real life too
Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh brought the stripper comedy Magic Mike to cinemas in 2012. The sequel Magic Mike XXL (2015) was directed by Gregory Jacobs, and now Soderbergh is back on board to direct.
Tatum, who began his career as a dancer and model, actually worked at times as a stripper in Florida. After the cinema success, the US actor also created dance shows in Australia, London and Berlin under the name “Magic Mike”.
