Changes to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription Conversion – Is it Still Worth It?

For a long time, new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers might convert up to 36 months of Xbox Live Gold over to the digital service, at a 1:1 ratio, meaning they might save a lot of money in the process, which a lot of people counted on. From the players in the recent period, but with the recent Microsoft updates and the increase in the price of subscription in some regions, this process has become more expensive than ever. To name a few, one month of Xbox Live Gold costs just $9.99 compared to $16.99 (previously $14.99) for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, of course not a huge difference, but a huge savings if you take advantage of the 36-month plan. As of this week, Microsoft has permanently changed the conversion ratio for new subscribers. This means that the conversion ratio is now 3:2 instead of 1:1, which means that the amount you will save is not as good as it used to be. Here’s the official conversion info from the Xbox Support site: Xbox Live Gold and PC Game Pass conversion ratio: Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 3:2 and will be rounded up to the next full day. For example, 90 days left of Xbox Live Gold or PC Game Pass will convert to 60 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox Game Pass for Console conversion ratio: Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 4:3 and will be rounded up to the next full day. For example, 90 days of Xbox Game Pass remaining on Xbox will convert to 68 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. EA Play conversion ratio: Any remaining time will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time at a ratio of 3:1 and will be rounded up to the next full day. For example, 90 days left of EA Play will convert to 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If you’re already a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the conversion rate hasn’t changed there, although it wasn’t great at first, as existing members can convert 1 month of Xbox Live Gold for 20 days of Game Pass Ultimate, and 3 months for 50 days, 6 months of 81 days and 12 months of 120 days. In the end, in short, the old method that allowed new subscribers to convert Xbox Live Gold to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate still works, but it’s not as generous as it used to be. It remains to be seen if Microsoft will bring it back to the 1:1 ratio in the future, though that seems unlikely at this point. I always look for a good story, an elaborate scenario, and an exciting dramatic plot in any video game, and I don’t mind discussing competitive games with innovative and exciting ideas.
