Portal Transfermarkt has updated the data on the market value of the players of the Russian Premier League (RPL). CSKA defender Willian Rocha added more than others in price.

The cost of the Brazilian footballer has doubled – from €3.5 million to €7 million. The best player of the season, Malcolm (Zenith), became the second in the ranking (+ €3 million, to €30 million). The midfielder of Krasnodar and the Armenian national team, Eduard Spertsyan, who occupies the third line, also had an increase in value of €3 million, up to €12 million.

The most expensive football players

The most expensive players in the Russian championship are five Brazilians from Zenit: Malcolm (€30m), Wendel (€24m), Claudinho (€20m), Vilmar Barrios (€18m) and Douglas Santos (€18m).

Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov (€16m), Dynamo midfielders Arsen Zakharyan (€15m) and Krasnodar Eduard Spertsyan (€12m), CSKA strikers Fedor Chalov (€12m) and Spartak are next. Quincy Promes (€11 million).

The club that depreciated the most

Most of all, in terms of the total cost of players, Sochi fell in price. Only three players went up in price there — Kirill Kravtsov, Denis Adamov and Timofey Shipunov — for a total of €350,000. Four of them kept the price, the remaining 18 players lost in value for a total of €5.8 million.

The cost of the CSKA squad, which was estimated at €77.45 million last season, increased by 16.3% (€90.1 million). Four players went up by more than €2m at once: Willian Rocha (+3.5m, €7m), Ivan Oblyakov (+€2.5m, €10m), Fedor Chalov (+€2m, €12m) million) and Moises (+€2 million, €5 million).
