The 2024-2025 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) will begin one day earlier. With the meeting between Navigators of Magellan and the Sharks of La Guaira at the UCV university stadium on October 11 and not the 12th as originally scheduled.
According to the LVBP press release, this change in the calendar was made “to give greater visibility to the challenge” of the current LVBP champion. In this way, there will only be one match on the opening day of the tournament unlike what is customary in the tournament.
Now, The day of October 12 will remain the samewith the same matchups, but with a small adjustment. Sharks and Magellan will face each other, but in Valencia, in the José Bernardo Pérez.
That meeting between Turks and sharks was scheduled for October 16 and with this change, both teams will have a free day that Wednesday.

October 12
- Caribbeans vs. Tigers – 5:00 pm – Maracay.
- Braves vs. Cardinals – 5:30 pm – Barquisimeto.
- Eagles vs. Lions – 5:30 pm – Monumental Stadium, Caracas.
- Sharks vs. Navigators – 5:30 pm – José Bernardo Pérez, Valencia.
It is the second change that the LVBP makes a change to the calendar after officially announcing it. At first the harvest was going to start on October 15 with a full day, but later it was brought forward to Saturday the 12th.
