Thanks to the new update, the “My list” interface will become considerably clearer. Good news for anyone with dozens of saved programs in their watchlist.
Netflix’s home interface has the merit of being rather clear and intuitive. However, when we add a program to the “My List” section, we are faced with an interface that is very basic. All the series and all the films are grouped together on a single page, without the possibility of classification.
This is now a thing of the past with Netflix’s new update. From now on, it is possible to classify your list according to four categories: “Movies”, “Series”, “Not started yet” and “Started”. What bring much more clarity (note that reality shows and documentaries in several episodes are classified in the “series” section).
In addition to this, it is also now possible to sort your list in alphabetical order, by date of addition to the list and by date of release.
For now, these new features are only available on Android, but an iOS rollout will arrive in the coming weeks. Moreover, these functionalities do not currently concern the web version of the application.
For the web application, Netflix announced the arrival of a “coming soon” section. It will also be possible to activate a notification when a program comes out.
Unfortunately, we still don’t find a section that warns us when a program is leaving the catalog soon…
