On January 2nd, Thomas Fürkötter started as Chief Technology Officer at Wintersteiger. The German native from Werl in North Rhine-Westphalia has a number of positions behind him – including at Magna Electronics and Schaeffler. Wintersteiger refers to its more than 20 years of experience in international supply chain projects. His task is described as increasing productivity and further digitalization. The experience of the 50-year-old, who has moved his residence to Upper Austria, in integrating company acquisitions is also praised. This should continue, according to the new CEO Kostka. Kostka has been working for the company as a board member since 2014.
It has been known in the company since the summer that von Boxberg will be leaving following seven years at the helm of the machine and systems manufacturer. It is with great sadness that he is leaving, but even at the age of 62, at a time that he considered right, Boxberg is being summoned to the surgical farewell. Boxberg will move to the supervisory board at the next general meeting.
Wintersteiger is active in three divisions: systems and complete solutions for seed cultivation, in winter sports with its grinding machines and other offers for rental equipment and systems for the sawmilling industry. The group of companies employs 1,200 people and has a turnover of 250 million euros and is owned by the Hamburg family Lange.
