Jeddah: Following the warning of the National Weather Service regarding the possibility of rain, the Department of Education announced that educational institutions in Jeddah, Rabag and Khulais will be closed tomorrow. The Department of Education has announced that schools in Jeddah, Rabag and Khulais will be closed tomorrow and attendance will be recorded through the ‘My School’ platform for all students and staff of education offices.

Umm al-Qura University has announced that it will not work tomorrow as per the report of Meteorological Center regarding weather conditions. The university informed that the holiday was given to ensure the safety of students and staff. The National Meteorological Center had earlier warned that there is a possibility of rain in Makkah, Jeddah and nearby areas from today to Friday. Hussain Al Qahtani, spokesman for the Meteorological Center, said that all preparations have been put in place to deal with rainstorms, monitoring the weather developments in the regions and coordinating operations with authorities related to field transactions. But he added that there is no chance of rain as heavy as the rain that fell in Jeddah on the 24th of last month in the coming days.
