CHAN 2022: Mauritania eliminates Mali and qualifies for the quarter-finals

Mauritania knocks out the finalists of the last edition of CHAN to secure a place in the quarter-finals. The foals of coach Amir Abdou managed the feat of eliminating Mali, big favorites before the match. The Mauritanian local football team earned their success with a goal from striker Mamadou Sy in the 53rd minute. This victory allows Mauritania to score four points in this group of three, ahead of Angola (2 points) and Mali (1 point), and thus take the only ticket in the group for the next round.
