Four teams can qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday evening. Among them, two big ones in Europe: Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

The ‘Rekordmeister’ and the ‘Merengue’ will certainly validate their ticket if they achieve a fourth success in four matches in the group stage. The Bavarians welcome Galatasaray Istanbul, while the Madrilenians host Braga.

A draw might even be enough depending on the results of the other matches. In Group A, Bayern is five steps ahead of its opponent of the day and six ahead of Manchester United, who are challenging FC Copenhagen in Denmark at the same time.

In Group C, Real leads the way with three points ahead of Naples and six over Braga. Naples welcomes Urs Fischer’s Union Berlin on Wednesday, adrift for many weeks and still looking for a first point in this Champions League.

Co-leaders of Group D with 7 points on the clock, Yann Sommer’s Inter and Real Sociedad also have the opportunity to drive home the point. The Milanese, who travel to Salzburg (3rd with 4 points), and the Basques, who host Benfica (0 points), will qualify if they both win.

The situation is, however, more open in Group B, where Arsenal can however take off in the event of success once morest Djibril Sow’s Sevilla. Second, one point behind the Gunners, Lens travels to Eindhoven.
